Agni Paramita

I earned my M.A. in International Relations from the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies, Johns Hopkins University as a Fulbright scholar from Indonesia. Prior to pursuing my graduate studies I conducted qualitative case studies for a World Bank project and was heavily involved in developing an education programme under AusAid’s Australia-Indonesia Partnership for Reconstruction and Development initiative in Aceh, Indonesia.

I am researching the ways in which schools interpret and use data generated from the National Exams in Junior Secondary Schools in Indonesia. Using case studies and principal and teacher surveys, the study seeks to explore the role of leadership, district support, and professional opinion of the assessment data in this process.
