Dr Michelle Meadows becomes Honorary Research Fellow

Dr Michelle Meadows has become an Honorary Research Fellow at OUCEA. Michelle is Director of Research and Policy at the Assessment and Qualifications Alliance (AQA). Her department conducts assessment and educational research and she is heavily involved in assessment policy issues at a national level. Michelle is a member of Ofqual’s Standards Advisory Board and regularly gives research advice to Government and Select Committees.

Michelle is well known for her own research on the quality of marking and she has led a number of projects to investigate characteristics of markers and their effects upon severity of marking. In 2009, Michelle co-edited a Special Issue of Assessment in Education: principles, policy & practice with Professor Paul Newton, on marking quality.  She has published articles in the field, as well as a large number of public reports.
