Jo-Anne Baird keynote address Wednesday, April 30th, 2014

Jo-Anne Baird presented a keynote address at the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the Centre for Assessment, Evaluation and Research (CAER) International conference in Delhi, India on 28 April. Jo-Anne spoke on ‘Standards in large-scale testing: effects of predictability on assessment of higher order skills’ in the session ‘Transitioning from Norm-referenced to Standards-referenced Assessment: Perspectives and Strategies’.

Dr Peter Gu visits OUCEA Thursday, April 24th, 2014

Dr Peter Gu, from the School of Linguistics and Applied Language Studies at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, is a Visiting Researcher with the Applied Linguistics research group and OUCEA, and will be here until July. Among his activities, Dr Gu will be presenting a seminar on classroom assessment literacy for EFL teachers to the Student Assessment Network on 19 May.
