Professor Val Klenowski visits OUCEA Monday, November 10th, 2014

Professor Val Klenowski from the Queensland University of Technology is visiting OUCEA for a week in November. She has researched curriculum development and assessment practice internationally at all levels from early childhood through to higher education. She is particularly interested in teachers’ classroom assessment practices and the interrelationship with learning, curriculum and pedagogy. On 17th November Val will be presenting a public seminar on testing and the use of assessment data in Australia.

OUCEA at AEA-Europe Conference Monday, November 10th, 2014

Several OUCEA staff and student members presented at the Annual Conference of the Association for Educational Assessment-Europe in Tallinn, 6-8 November. Professor Jo-Anne Baird is the outgoing President of the Association.

Dr Victoria Elliott becomes OUCEA Research Associate Thursday, October 16th, 2014

Dr Victoria Elliott has become an OUCEA Research Associate. Velda has returned to the Department of Education as Associate Professor in English and Literacy Education after completing her DPhil at OUCEA in 2011. Since then she has been a Lecturer in English in Education at the University of York and Course Leader for the PGCE in English with Drama at the University of Warwick Institute of Education.
