Professor David Andrich visits OUCEA Wednesday, September 16th, 2015

Professor David Andrich is visiting OUCEA from the University of Western Australia, 17 September to 21 October. He will be working with staff and students in the Centre and on 19th October is presenting a Quant Hub seminar and a public seminar.

Norwegian education leaders symposium Tuesday, September 15th, 2015

OUCEA hosted a symposium on 11 September at Queen’s College for Norwegian education leaders from 19 counties, including the County Governor of Hordaland. The programme included presentations from Dr Therese N. Hopfenbeck on the Norwegian case study of the research project Governing Complex Education Systems; Dr Jenny Lenkeit on the PIRLS for Teachers project; and Professor Gordon Stobart on the challenges of changing assessment practice.

Jo-Anne Baird gave a keynote address at the 2nd Asia-Pacific Educational Assessment Conference, Assessment with Purpose, in Singapore on 11 September. Her presentation was entitled Challenges for the Future of Assessment.

Causal mediation using PIRLS Thursday, September 3rd, 2015
