Teresa Flórez passes D.Phil viva Friday, January 24th, 2014

Congratulations to Teresa Flórez (pictured above with her supervisor Professor Jenny Ozga), who has passed her viva examination at Examination Schools. Her thesis is on policy and assessment in Chile. The viva examiners were Professor Richard Daugherty, Honorary Professor at Cardiff University and Research Fellow at OUCEA, and Professor Gemma Moss from the Institute of Education, University of London. Teresa has published a number of papers and reports during her studies and was the 2012 winner of the AEA-Europe New Researcher Award.

Socioeconomic background, education and labor force outcomes Tuesday, January 14th, 2014

Daniel Caro has co-authored an article with Kai Cortina & Jacquelynne Eccles, now published in the British Journal of Sociology of Education. The paper is entitled Socioeconomic Background, Education, and Labor Force Outcomes: Evidence from a Regional U.S. Sample.
